2. Your skin will be sensitive to light, so plan ahead to stay indoors or wear clothing to cover the treated areas.
3. Use sunscreen daily during the 2 weeks prior to each laser hair treatment. Remove the sunscreen before you come to any laser treatment. Avoid any sun exposure, tanning beds and spray tans at least two weeks before any treatment.
4. Please remove any spray tans thoroughly with an exfoliating or abrasive scrub 2 weeks prior to laser treatment.
5. Do not wear any perfume, lotion, or make up, prior to any laser treatment.
6. Inform VIP Health and Laser before each treatment if you have started any new medications or antibiotics. Many medications can cause the skin to be photosensitive, meaning that skin will be more susceptible to burning. You need to wait 1-2 weeks after completing any photosensitive medication before you continue the laser hair removal treatments.
7. Do not pluck or wax hairs prior to your first treatment for at least one month. Did not pluck or wax continuing through the course of your ongoing treatments either.
8. Have soothing aloe or a gentle moisturizing lotion available for after the procedure.
9. Drink water to remain hydrated for the procedure.
10. Do not bleach the hair or use Nair for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment which can irritate the skin.
11. Avoid any irritating treatments on the face for 2 weeks prior to laser hair removal. This includes skin lightening creams, glycolic acid, astringents, chemical peels, microdermal abrasion, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, retinol, or Retin-A.
12. Be sure to secure future appointments every 6 weeks to have the most effective long term results.
